We discovered this place by accident as we were looking to stay somewhere close to a party we were attending in Brisbane The room was bigger than we had expected, well laid out and very clean. The bed was probably the best hotel bed we have slept in. We had requested a quiet room, which they had on their notes when we checked in and they gave us just that and a complimentary breakfast! Staff very polite and helpful. We will definitely be staying at the Gambaro the next time we are in Brisbane
The Gambaro is an absolutely lovely place for an intimate staycation. Conveniently located in the city near transport and just about everything you'd need, it's also great for those coming from far away. My partner and I book a holiday every year, and we keep coming back to Gambaro. The service is excellent, all the employees are lovely, and the attached restaurant is absolutely divine. Comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and great service make us repeat customers.
We stayed for 2 nights the night before Melbourne Cup and Melbourne Cup night.
The rooms them selves are lovely but definitely need better lighting.
Also tried to use the Sundeck Lounge on level 3 but no cushions on the seats and the awnings are all torn.
Reception staff are amazing.
My husband and I stayed there last night for a concert at Suncorp. The room was awesome but I really wish we could give more stars for the service. The lovely Maggie was so friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and trouble free. Thanks. We will be back for sure. Thanks Julie
I ordered the oysters, scallops, lobster pasta, steak and chips. 10/10 best seafood I’ve had will be returning asap! Steak wasn’t good but it is a seafood restaurant so not surprised. Pricing wasn’t too high! Highly recommend
My partner booked Gamberos as a surprise to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived until departure we were blown away with the level of personalised service we received all thanks to the incredible Maggie. We have stayed at alot of hotels all around the world but Maggie made our stay truly memorable. The room and decor across the hotel are gorgeous and what you would expect of a five star establishment. The bed was so comfortable we were both able to drift of to sleep in record time. The location is central to an array of food and beverage options and yet feels so intimate and secluded at the same time. We will definately be back and it deserves more then a 5 star review. We stayed four nights at the Gambaro Hotel as we had come to see the Paul McCartney concert. Upon arrival we were greeted by Beautiful Maggie, Michelle and Morgan. We were treated like family and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They even checked Suncorp to see what time we were expected to arrive at the concert. Each staff member treated us the same, with love and care. Thank you also to the Seafood Restaurant and the Steak House which were both such culinary experiences. James took special care of us at each venue. Thank you again, Maggie, Michelle, Morgan, and the two Michael’s.
